Hey guys. Feel free to start calling me Miss Sporadic Blogging Lady. Seriously, I’ve been all over the place with posting this week. Not particularly regular … but I’m still here!
Yesterday was a long day. I was on a shoot for my latest project, and it required my camera person (a tremendously good friend of mine) and I to be on the road for a total of seven hours. Then there was the actual interview, footage gathering, etc. Needless to say … a long day. And a lot of overtime to bank.
I worked through lunch. That happens quite often with my job. Especially when an interview or something is scheduled around 11AM … lunching just isn’t a possibility. I try to sneak it in around 2PM, but that’s not always easy.
By the time we got to eat yesterday, it was about 4:30. I dubbed our meal “lupper”. We stopped at a restaurant in the middle of the long commute back to the station, and I had the unhealthiest biggest burger I’ve ever seen. Note: I didn’t know it was going to be this big when I ordered it.
The beef burger was served on a hand-made brioche bun and the star toppings were goat cheese and grilled mushrooms. It was so flavourful. Like, juice running down my arms. Completely ladylike
I got it with yam fries + miso dip. The dip was an interesting aspect, but I enjoyed it! I finished the whole dish. Quite a feat. Oh, and the big knife they give you to cut the burger in half? I didn’t use it. I looked like a caveman.
I had originally planned on going for a run + upper body training last night (seeing as a 6AM workout seemed like the worst thing in the world yesterday morning), but once I got home I wanted to stay home. I had an eleven hour work day! I like my house too much to leave it alone for so long
I decided to take advantage of my time and clean up a little bit. Who says vacuuming/mopping isn’t exercise? It definitely is. Especially when you live on the eighth floor of an apartment building. In the summer. Can anyone say hot yoga laundry?
And now my place is clean (er)!
What’s up with you today? Big plans this weekend?
