I have a very simple recipe for you.
It’s something I like to introduce to my palette after I’ve had a terrible day.
There’s only one ingredient.
It’s exercise.
This happened on Tuesday. I was immensely frustrated with work, so I threw on my shoes and headed to the gym. I ran a bit, biked a bit, and did some weights. I was like a whole different person.
Sometimes, I’ll get a little fancier and add another ingredient or two to the recipe. Also from this week:
(I’m an extreme saver of funny or cute pieces of text conversations. This was with my BFF.)
See? An easy fix. I may not be the most fabulous cook … but this I can do

I swear the best part of running (and exercise in general) is that it seems to wipe away stress, anger, negative emotions, etc. It always leaves me with a more peaceful mind
How do you like your polar watch so far? I am looking to get a new one (I think my garmin forerunner may be dead
) so I wanted to keep my options open on what to get next.
Uh oh about the garmin! I looooove my polar. I actually don’t have a single bad thing to say about it
good luck with choosing a new gadget!
so true! it is def why I exercise in the morning, I can wake up feeling terrible, tired etc but then I run and I am a new person.
Exercise (and tons of hummus…) really does do wonders for your mood.
I love a good workout after a particularly heinous day at work – it feels great to just shut your brain off completely and do something purely physical for an hour. By the time I leave, I usually can’t remember what I was so stressed about in the first place.
Chocolate works too…
I love my polar watch but wish it was pink like yours!!
Exercise always makes me feel better! Always!
love this. exercise is amazingly powerful, no?
