Lesson #1 from yesterday: Getting limited sleep may cause you to eat four ginger snap cookies before 10 AM.
Lesson #2 from yesterday: When interview subjects give you cookies at the end of a shoot, don’t keep the bag on your desk.
Lesson #3 from yesterday: It really is much easier to go buy new underwear than it is to do laundry. Not the first time I’ve done this.
Lesson #4 from yesterday: Getting home, collapsing on the couch, and sleeping from 5:30PM to 8:00PM will cause you to miss the floor hockey game you were supposed to play. No workout yesterday. Sleep is more important.
Lesson #5 from yesterday: Supper tastes really good when eaten after 8PM
Lesson #6 from yesterday: I need to add supportive shoes into my usual rotation. The combination of heels + flats + flip flops is causing me to get shooting pains through my arches. I started thinking about it … the only supportive shoes I wear on a regular basis are my gym shoes! Yikes!
Lesson #7 from yesterday: Always take a list to the store if you need more than four things. I really could have used some more Greek yogurt and eggs (shocking, I know) when I stopped at the store during my lunch break yesterday. I left with deodorant and two bottles of hairspray.
And finally … not a lesson, but I spotted this yesterday and had to share. It’s now part of my collection.
Cute, right? What are you up to this weekend? Any lessons learned lately?

i am the same way, I go in for one thing and leave with many more. no sleep or lack of sleep makes me crave diet soda which i haven’t been drinking, that is when i know i am tired.
Love these. Sleep deprivation definitely contributes to me eating like crap too. Sigh. And I need to get some more supportive shoes too… Or just shoes in general haha (can’t ever have enough shoes!)
Hey there! I’ve been following your blog for awhile and I had to finally comment, now that I have my own! I completely agree with the supportive shoes thing. I noticed the other day when I was wearing a pair of flat sandals that my feet were absolutely killing me…even after just ten minutes of walking to work. That can’t be good…
I agree on the shoe thing. Now that I’m starting to get older, supportive shoes are coming much more necessary. Which is crazy. I’m almost 29 … not 72!
Couldn’t agree with you more on #3. I mean is it possible to ever have enough undies??
No plans here, were currently having sandstorms.. boo!! Enjoy your weekend though
lack of sleep ALWAYS equals bad food choices in my world. i hate that. like you already feel like crap because you are low on sleep, and then you feel extra like crap because you ate crap. a vicious cycle it is.
#1 is so true, and #3 made me smile
it’s true, too lol
