Happy Independence Day to all of my American readers! I hope you all have a wonderful day full of celebrating with friends and family. But you should know I’m crazy jealous if you have today off of work. I know Canada Day was just on Sunday, and we had Monday off in lieu, but still. Jealous
It’s What I Ate Wednesday time!
As always, a big thanks to Jenn for hosting this weekly party. Here’s what I ate yesterday!
I needed to be at work early yesterday morning, so I threw together a quick breakfast wrap. That whole wheat tortilla (which I think I eat 100 of per week, not the greatest habit) contains two eggs with a little bit of cheese, a Sol Cuisine mushroom rice burger, a smear of cream cheese and lots and lots of pepper!
Unexpectedly, I was able to run home for my lunch break. I thought I was going to be far too busy for that, so that was a welcome surprise! I whipped up a bowl of oatmeal, stirred in chocolate protein powder, and added just thawed out berries and mango pieces. I love when they’re just on the warm side of being frozen (does that makes sense?) … I don’t know why.
I also consumed waaaaaay too much of this after I emptied that bowl.
Supper was delicious! Underneath all of that grilled chicken breast, steamed peppers, onions, and brussel sprouts is bulgur. It’s one of my new favorite grains! Have you ever tried it? I really like the texture. Oh, and that’s Greek yogurt thrown on top … because that’s just what I do
This is my new favorite snack. This isn’t exactly what I had last night, this is a picture from a few days ago. In there is 7000 grapes, a peach, Greek yogurt, and a spoonful of crunch peanut butter. Mix it all up and you’ve got pure happiness.
Aaaaaaaand break! Another WIAW, done. I hope you enjoyed it … and will enjoy some other posts today too!

Happy WIAW! Everything looks so tasty!
Oh my goood, carrot cake granola?! It must be amazing!
They have so many great flavors I’d like to try!
I’m so sad they don’t sell the Love Grown brand here in Germany.
I have yet to try bulger but it is a food I am interested in trying! That love crunch stuff does indeed sound addicting, it would be dangerous (and awesome
) to have around in my house!
Your breakfast wrap looks delicious!!
Peanut butter in fruit and yoghurt mixes is amazing. And, grilled chicken salad is so wonderful.
Yum your oatmeal looks amazing! Love being able to have lunch at home.. it is always such a treat not having to buy lunch or pack it
I love bulgur too! It has such a great texture.
Also your night time snack looks delicious .
love this snack idea! fruit and Greek yogurt and peanut butter? can’t beat that combination!
I soo almost bought that granola at the grocery store yesterday. All their flavors sound so good!
I always want to try this Love Crunch Carrot Cake granola, only problem is it’s always 5.99 and I’m such a penny pincher. I had a sample a while ago and was absolutely in love! I guess I may have to “splurge”. Aren’t you loving that it’s peach season? I have at least 2 a day it’s kind of ridiculous!
God your oats look like pure heaven. All that fruit on top looks so delicious. I need to try just some simple oats with amazing fruit on top. Usually I’m off making crazy creations, but sometimes I just need to go simple. Carrot cake granola?!? I’m gonna need to go find me some of that asap. I’ll have to hide it from myself though because I’ll prob like consume it really quickly lol
Your eats are so healthy! I’m seriously impressed, girl!
I love the looks of that drippy peanut butter. And all your bowls look packed with many options. When I make a bowl, I always like to put in as many random things as I can so my mouth is kept on its toes….if that is possible, haha. bulgur is great, I recently made tabouleh with it and it’s got such a great texture for breakfast as well, if you’ve not tried it that way.
that last fruit picture looks so refreshing!
That yogurt mess looks devine! Happy 4th of July
I have been eyeing that love crunch granola for sooo long. I need to buy it already, it looks sooo good!
Your meals are so creative! I never put frozen berries in hot cereal but it looks good when other people do it
I have never tried bulgur, but I have heard so many good things about it! I will have to pick some up next time I’m at the grocery store
Agreed, bulgur is delicious and so healthy! Mmm that oatmeal looks to die for! I have to try putting in protein powder
No shame in too many wraps. They’re too easy.
I had my first whole-wheat (or any wheat) wrap yesterday for the first time in a long time, and it was gooooood.
You can never go wrong with fruit & pb together.. oh well maybe if you add some light whip cream on top, even better!!
Oh my gosh, Love Crunch granola is so addictive!! Especially the dark chocolate and berries flavor
Everything looks great! I wish we could have swapped days
I think your last snack caught my attention most. You never would have thought, but nut butter and grapes really do work together!
